About Danielle

Danielle is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston in 2020. Danielle utilizes a trauma-informed lens in her work and believes fostering a safe space is foundational to healing. Her passion is helping children, teens, and families learn healthy and effective ways to communicate feelings. Danielle is EMDRIA trained as an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) therapist to work with children and teens and is currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

Danielle emphasizes a collaborative approach, which includes meeting clients and caregivers where they are and equipping families with tools to help achieve their goals. Danielle has found that working as a team with caregivers is the most effective way to promote lasting positive change for children.

Danielle’s inspiration to become a social worker stems from her Grandfather and Grandmother. She carries the torch of their legacy - a lifelong commitment to service as a social worker and community activist.

Danielle Gorrity, LMSW, is currently under the supervision of Brittani Persha, LCSW-S #: 53037, Exp. Date: 3/31/2023
